Hello World, welcome to the blog I’ll be using to record my experiences and ideals as I make my way to becoming a professional designer.
I’ve been working in the guise of a wannabe designer for many years now with not much success, so I wanted to stop fooling myself and actually get things going properly with some higher education. I’ve tried this before, when I was younger with general computing courses that ended in 3 years of continued dropping out half way through the first year.
What came next was what should of been the beginning of my success story but turned out to be a string of very expensive failures, and as only the young know how to do, we just keep on smacking that dead pony till we opened our eyes to the sinking ship.
At this point I should explain who the “we” in the story is. The “we” is me and a friend of mine, who I think would be best remained nameless, as he is sensitive to admitting his failures to the world. We decided to make a company that would later be registered as Skyblu Studios (with a little search you can connect the dots).
I know what you’re thinking ‘Why are you using the WordPress Classic theme?’
Well I don’t want to use a theme someone else has designed, so I’m going to leave it like this till I find a design direction I’m happy with and perhaps even go as far as make myself into a brand.
With the brief history of me out the way let’s look to the future and what’s next…
That would be getting accepted into uni, Kent University to be exact, for next September. I’ve already decided on the 3 year ‘Multimedia Technology and Design’ course.
As they say ‘New Year, New Start’.
